Toothache Day is celebrated on February 9th each year, including in 2025. It's a day to remind people to practice good oral hygiene, schedule dental check-ups, and take steps to prevent toothaches.
Toothaches can be caused by a number of things, including:
- Cavities
- Broken or cracked teeth
- Tooth sensitivity
- Sinus infections and congestion
- Gum disease
- Grinding teeth
- Abscess
- Ear infection
To prevent toothaches, you can:
- Brush and floss daily
- Avoid sugary foods and acidic drinks
- Eat lots of fresh, crunchy vegetables
- Schedule a dentist appointment
