What is City Gateway?
City Gateway is a charity that provides training for disadvantaged young people in London. They work in communities across London that are most impacted by social and economic inequality and firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. That their future should not be defined by the past or determined by the place they start.
They have established a hugely successful programme of support providing qualifications (functional skills level 2 in English and maths), essential employability skills and, thanks to our strategic corporate partners, employers and mentors, we provide experience (workshops, employer visits and experience within an employer’s workplace) to progress young people into successful outcomes in education, employment or further training.
They also provide a wraparound coaching model which helps young learners to develop essential personal capabilities such as confidence, resilience and self-awareness.
“We are delighted to be working with Includability as a Committed Employer. As an organisation that is committed to creating an inclusive, sustainable and mentally healthy workplace culture, this partnership is the perfect match. We have access to resources, experts and an entire network of support. We can be part of a community of like-minded people all striving for the same goal and sharing the same values.” – Diane Betts, CEO of City Gateway.

What is Includability’s 5 Star Verification process?
The 5 Star Verification Process was independently conducted by Includability Official Partners; Prosperah, Outliers Wellbeing, Flex Wellbeing, Unleashed, The HR Agency and Mental Health Charter CIC to ensure practices align with established definitions of an ‘Inclusive Workplace’.
Completing our 5 Star Verification process (or the 6 Star Verification Process for Includability Committed Recruitment Agencies) involves members completing a Company Commitment survey, having introductory, and possible follow-up, calls with our verification partners to assess where they are on their journey, making further commitments to engage with best practice in our pillar areas, and focussing each area into an overall sustainability strategy for their company which will raise the standard of their corporate social responsibility.
What does Includability’s verification process mean for new members?

Displaying our Includability Committed Employer or Includability Committed Recruitment Agency badge signifies to audiences and jobseekers that the holder is committed to undertaking steps to better themselves through education and collaboration.
