Inclusion training: how to plan it, track it and show it's working
Most organisations run some inclusion training. Fewer can say who needs what, who has done it and whether it made a difference. The Supporting Learning Management module gives you a training needs analysis and a tracker to answer all three, and it is free.

A practical guide to planning and tracking inclusion training

Inclusion training works best when it is planned around real gaps and tracked properly. A training needs analysis shows who needs what. A training tracker records who has done it. Together they turn a list of courses into a clear picture of capability.
The Supporting Learning Management module of the JEDI Inclusion Toolkit gives you both, and it is free.
Why is inclusion training so hard to keep track of?
Inclusion training is often booked in response to a moment: a complaint, an awareness day, a new policy. Each session makes sense on its own, but nobody is looking at the whole picture.
The records end up spread across inboxes, learning platforms, spreadsheets and certificates. Ask who has completed what, and the honest answer is usually a best guess.
For B Corps, this matters. Our toolkit maps this work to JEDI2.b in B Lab Standards V2, and training records are only useful as evidence if you can find them.
What happens when nobody can say who has been trained?
The same keen people attend every session, and others never do.
Gaps stay hidden. The managers who handle the hardest conversations may be the ones who have had the least support.
And when your board, a client or B Lab asks what you have done, someone spends weeks pulling certificates together instead of doing the work.
What does the Supporting Learning Management module help you with?
Supporting Learning Management gives you a training needs analysis and a tracker for who has completed what. It helps you plan inclusion training around the gaps you actually have, then keep a single record of it.
It is easy to follow, concise and structured, whether you are doing the work or reporting on it to your teams, groups or board.

Why does it work for any employer?
Every employer that invests in inclusion training wants to know it is reaching the right people. The tracker works with whatever training you use, whether it is delivered in-house or by an outside provider.
The module is built on good practice first, it is self-paced, and it is free.
How is it built around the B Corp standards?
Supporting Learning Management supports JEDI2.b in the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Impact Topic of B Lab Standards V2. JEDI2 asks companies to choose from nineteen actions across three sets: Foundation, Within the Workplace and Beyond the Workplace.
The tracker's evidence summary sheet pulls your training records together, so the evidence is ready when you need it. Every module in the toolkit names the criteria it supports and the evidence it produces.
B Lab certifies B Corps. Includability supports the work you supply as evidence.
Where does Supporting Learning Management fit in the toolkit?
The JEDI Inclusion Toolkit follows four steps, in the order that suits you: find out where you stand, decide what to do, do the work, and show what changed. Supporting Learning Management sits in the last step, tracking progress and keeping the evidence current.
It pairs well with Inclusive Leadership, which builds the capability of the people who lead inclusion day to day. If JEDI or B Lab Standards V2 is new to you, start with the free orientation module, Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and B Corp.
For the full requirements by company size, read our guide to the B Corp JEDI requirements.
How much does it cost?
Supporting Learning Management is free, and so are three others: Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and B Corp, The B Corp JEDI Knowledge Hub, and Self-ID Surveys.
Bought separately, the paid modules come to £1,900 + VAT, so the full toolkit saves £901. Introductory 2026 pricing. Prices are subject to change.
Who built the JEDI Inclusion Toolkit?
Includability is a UK B Corp workplace culture business. We partner with organisations to build inclusive, diverse, mentally healthy, evidence-based workplace cultures.
We have worked in inclusion and workplace culture for more than six years, with some of the best-known organisations in the UK, through our Cultural Roadmap and support services. Our three directors bring more than 30 years' combined experience and have helped develop toolkits for well-known brands, including sporting organisations. Between them, they cover HR, diversity and inclusion, leadership and governance, mental health and wellbeing, talent and recruitment, inclusive communications and digital accessibility.
We know B Corp from the inside, too. Our directors have been through the B Corp process three times with two different businesses, Includability is a B Corp with a score of 143.2, and the team is working towards becoming B Leaders.

Questions people ask
What is a training needs analysis for inclusion?
It is a simple check of what each team and role needs to know about inclusion, set against what they already know. It shows where training will make the most difference, so you are not booking courses at random.
How do you track diversity and inclusion training?
Keep one record of who has completed which training and when, linked to the gaps it is meant to close. The JEDI Training Tracker does this in a single Excel template, with an evidence summary built in.
Does the tracker work with any training provider?
Yes. You can log training from any provider, as well as anything you run in-house.
Is the Supporting Learning Management module free?
Yes. It is one of four free modules in the JEDI Inclusion Toolkit, alongside Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and B Corp, The B Corp JEDI Knowledge Hub, and Self-ID Surveys.
Do we need to be a B Corp to use it?
No. The toolkit is built on good practice first and works for any employer. B Corps get the JEDI criteria mapping on top.
Is the JEDI Inclusion Toolkit a certification?
No. Includability does not certify, accredit or verify anything. B Lab certifies B Corps, and the toolkit helps you do the work and gather the evidence.
