What is the Access To work scheme?

In the world of inclusivity, understanding the available support systems is crucial. One such indispensable initiative is the UK government's 'Access to Work' scheme. Navigating work with a physical or mental health condition? Access To Work is available to support! Whether you have a learning disability, mental health condition, or even a temporary ailment, help is available.

From grants for practical job support to tailored mental health guidance, this scheme ensures every individual has the tools they need to succeed professionally.

What's on offer?

Accessing the government scheme enables a claimant to receive:

  • Grants for practical work support
  • Tailored mental health support
  • Communication aid during job interviews

Am I Eligible for ‘Access to Work’?

If you are:

  • Aged 16 or over
  • In paid work or starting soon
  • Living & working in England, Scotland, or Wales

You meet the basic requirements if you have a recognised disability.

Note: Voluntary work doesn't qualify. But, good news for remote workers during these COVID-19 times - you're included!
