Includability Week 2025: Laura Slack B Corp Expert
Includability Week is all about allyship in action and today, we’re handing the mic to the brilliant Cara Wheatley-McGrain

Includability Week is all about allyship in action and today Let’s talk privilege, voice, and action with Laura Slack

Privilege, voice, and community action.
We’re joined by the incredible Laura Slack, founder of B Corp Expert and an unstoppable force for purpose-led change.
Laura brings a powerful perspective on allyship, cutting through the noise with two big truths:
↳ Acknowledge your privilege with honesty. Recognising where we have influence is how we use it for good.
↳ Speak out. Not all allyship has to be loud.
But it does have to be present.
Whether it’s calling something out, backing someone up, or simply letting others know they’re not alone, allyship is about action.
“Being vocal in your support tells people they are not alone. And that’s what it’s all about.”
Educating your teams with this mindset and support is especially relevant as B Lab Europe introduces JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) as a core requirement for certification.Businesses must not only understand the role of allyship, but actively embed it into how they lead, hire, and build community.

What is Includability Week 2025
From the 1st to 7th of June 2025, we’re celebrating four years of Includability with something a little different.
This isn’t just a look back. It’s a bold step forward.
Includability Week is our chance to shine a spotlight on what really matters in the workplace and beyond:
Diversity. Inclusion. Mental health. Leadership. Purpose. Impact. Belonging.
And at the heart of it all—Allyship.
This year’s theme, Creating Allyship, is about more than awareness.
It’s about action.
We’ll be sharing a series of daily video messages from our community of experts. Each one sharing what allyship means to them and how we can all take practical steps to support our LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, and marginalised colleagues and communities.
Because allyship isn’t a label.
It’s not something you are.
It’s something you become—with the right support, space, and spark.
What to expect during Includability Week:
- Real stories from real people with lived experience
- Fresh perspectives on leadership and talent management
- Practical advice for creating more inclusive and mentally healthy workplaces
- Insight into the values behind the B Corp movement
- Opportunities to engage and share what allyship means to you
Whether you're just starting your journey or you're already an active voice for change, this week is for you.

Let’s celebrate four years of community, courage, and commitment by showing what real allyship looks like when it counts.
Because Includability isn’t a moment. It’s a thousand random acts of courage, kindness, and support—led by example.
What is Includability?
Includability is a community-powered platform built to support and celebrate organisations that are committed to creating inclusive, mentally healthy, and environmentally responsible workplaces.
We bring together purpose-led businesses, experts, and individuals who believe that people and planet matter just as much as profit.
Through a mix of certification, events, expert support, training, and community engagement, we help employers embed meaningful change across:
- Diversity & Inclusion
- Mental Health & Wellbeing
- Sustainability & Impact
- Leadership & Governance
- Inclusive Talent Management
Includability is for those who don’t just want to tick boxes—they want to create real impact.
Whether you’re an individual looking to connect, a company ready to do better, or a changemaker with something to share—there’s a space for you here.
We’re here to support your journey.
Because we believe better workplaces create a better world. Join the Community
