Shepherds Friendly Join Includability to Strengthen Their Commitment to People and Purpose
Shepherds Friendly join Includability as a Committed Employer, beginning their Verification Journey to build on their people-first culture, values-led leadership and long-standing commitment to doing the right thing.

A Values-Led Organisation with People at Its Heart

We’re really proud to welcome Shepherds Friendly to the Includability community as our newest Committed Employer.
With a long-standing history as a mutual society, Shepherds Friendly has always been rooted in care, trust and doing the right thing for its members and its people. Their focus on fairness, long-term thinking and social responsibility makes them a natural fit for the Includability community.
Culture, Care and Responsibility
Shepherds Friendly’s approach to culture goes beyond policy. It’s about how people are supported, how decisions are made, and how responsibility is shared across the organisation.
Led by Nasrin Hossain, Culture Director, the organisation continues to build a workplace where inclusion, wellbeing and sustainability are part of everyday conversations, not just statements on a page.
Their work across sustainability, community impact and employee experience reflects a clear commitment to balancing commercial responsibility with social purpose.
James Pravato, Co-CEO at Includability, shared why Shepherds Friendly stood out:
“Shepherds Friendly stood out because of their values and their long-term approach to people and culture. This feels like an organisation that genuinely cares about doing the right thing, not just now, but consistently over time. I’m really looking forward to supporting Nasrin and the team as they begin their Verification Journey.”
Dave Holby-Wolinski, Co-CEO at Includability, added:
“There’s a real sense of responsibility at Shepherds Friendly, both to their people and to the communities they serve. The Verification Journey is about building on strong foundations, and Shepherds Friendly already have many of those in place. We’re excited to work alongside them and support what comes next.”
Beginning Their Includability Verification Journey
As a Committed Employer, Shepherds Friendly are now starting their Includability Verification Journey. This marks an important moment to reflect on what’s already in place, gain external insight, and identify where further progress can be made.
They’ll be working with our Verification Partners across key areas of workplace culture:
↳ Diversity & Inclusion: Sara Matthews – Includability / ODiSEE
↳ Sustainability: Laura Slack – B Corp Expert
↳ Mental Health: Matt Holman – Simpilia Wellbeing
↳ Wellbeing: Matt Lock – Outliers Wellbeing
↳ Talent Management: Jon Hering – Talent Mapper
↳ Leadership & Governance: Will Cleare – The HR Agency
This process is collaborative and reflective. It’s about learning, evidence, and supporting organisations to move forward with confidence and clarity.
Looking Ahead
Shepherds Friendly already demonstrate what it means to be a responsible employer with strong values and a people-first mindset. By joining Includability, they’re reinforcing their commitment to continuous improvement, transparency and care.
We’re delighted to be supporting them on this next stage of their journey.
