Switch the Play Foundation Take the Next Step in Their Impact Journey with Includability
Switch the Play Foundation join Includability as a Committed Employer, building on their partnership with us as they prepare to begin their Verification Journey focused on people, wellbeing and long-term impact.

Supporting People Through Life Beyond Sport

Supporting Athletes Beyond the Game
We’re really proud to welcome Switch the Play Foundation as an Includability Committed Employer, as they prepare to begin their Verification Journey.
Switch the Play Foundation are widely recognised for the vital role they play in supporting sportspeople as they transition into life beyond professional sport. Their focus on long-term wellbeing, education and employability helps individuals build confidence, purpose and stability when their sporting careers come to an end.
Having partnered with Includability for many years, this next step feels like a natural progression in a relationship built on shared values and real-world impact.
Purpose Built on Experience
Elite Mindset, Real-World Impact
Switch the Play Foundation, led by Rob Young MBE and our very own Matthew Lock, are doing vital work supporting athletes as they transition into the workplace, helping them carry that elite high-performance mindset into life beyond sport. That moment of change is big, and the support they provide genuinely matters.
Sara Matthews, Dave Holby-Wolinski and I have been lucky enough to see that impact up close through events we’ve attended and through our Community Support Groups. Hearing first-hand stories from athletes navigating that shift reinforces just how important this work is.
You can checkout the brilliant Elizabeth Cann and Henry Cookey who appeared on our Community Support Group webinars as guest speakers. They shared their stories and lived experience with honesty and impact. Those sessions reminded us exactly why the work Switch the Play Foundation does matters so much.
As the organisation begins its Includability Verification Journey, Leoni Inchley, Operations Executive, will be leading the process. Leoni plays a key role in ensuring the Foundation’s programmes, partnerships and internal culture continue to reflect the values they champion externally.
Preparing for the Includability Verification Journey
As a Committed Employer, Switch the Play Foundation are now preparing to formally begin their Includability Verification Journey. This stage is about reflecting on what’s already working well, gaining external insight, and identifying opportunities to strengthen systems, culture and governance as the organisation continues to grow.
They’ll be working with our Verification Partners across key areas of workplace culture:
↳ Diversity & Inclusion: Sara Matthews – Includability / ODiSEE
↳ Sustainability: Laura Slack – B Corp Expert
↳ Mental Health: Matt Holman – Simpila
↳ Wellbeing: Matt Lock – Outliers Wellbeing + Matt Holman – Simpila
↳ Talent Management: Jon Hering – Talent Mapper
↳ Leadership & Governance: Will Cleare – The HR Agency
This process is collaborative and reflective, designed to support organisations that are already making a difference and want to keep improving with clarity and confidence.
A Shared Commitment to Long-Term Impact
