JEDI INCLUSION TOOLKIT
Inclusive Hiring, Onboarding and Induction
Make every step of hiring fairer, from the advert to the first weeks. You finish with reviewed adverts, structured interviews, a consistent scoring grid, an adjustments process and an onboarding plan.
What is in the inclusive recruitment toolkit?
Inclusive Hiring, Onboarding and Induction is an inclusive recruitment toolkit and guidance module in the JEDI Inclusion Toolkit. It covers job adverts, application and screening, selection methods, structured interviews, AI in recruitment, adjustments and onboarding, so diversity and inclusion runs through every stage of hiring.
Who it's for
- HR, recruitment and talent teams who design the process
- Hiring managers who write adverts and run interviews
- B Corp certification leads gathering evidence for JEDI2.g
Where do good candidates drop out?
Most recruitment processes filter people out long before anyone meets them. Adverts ask for things the job does not need, applications only reach the usual places, and screening rewards the people who already know the unwritten rules.
Interviews add their own bias when every panel asks different questions and scores in different ways. And when a new starter arrives to a first week that was not planned around them, the people you worked hardest to hire are the most likely to leave.

You can email us with questions as you work through any module, and you can book a call with the team to talk through how to get the most from the toolkit. If there's a template, tool or feature you'd like to see added, tell us. We build the toolkit around what the people using it need.
Questions we get asked
What is inclusive recruitment?
Hiring designed so strong candidates can find you, apply, show what they can do and settle in, whatever their background.
Is this an EDI recruitment toolkit?
Yes. It works as an EDI or diversity and inclusion recruitment toolkit for any employer, from the advert to the first weeks in the job. We call it JEDI because it adds justice and follows the B Corp standards.
How do you write an inclusive job advert?
Use simple language, separate essential requirements from nice-to-haves, state the salary and flexibility, and explain how to ask for adjustments. The advert review grid checks each of these.
What are fair selection methods?
Methods that test what the job actually needs, used the same way for every candidate, with adjustments where needed. Structured interviews and a consistent scoring grid are a strong start.
Is it safe to use AI in recruitment?
AI can save time, but it can repeat bias from the data it learned from. Check how the tool works, test it for unfair outcomes and keep a person in the decision. The module includes guidance on this.
How does this module support B Corp JEDI2?
It supports JEDI2.g. Your channel map, advert reviews, screening records, scoring grids and onboarding records show how your hiring works in practice.
What support do we get?
You can email us with questions as you work through the module, and book a call with James and Dave to talk through getting the most from it.
Can we suggest new templates or features?
Yes. Tell us what you would like to see added. We build the toolkit around what the people using it need.
Is this module a certification?
No. Includability does not assess, certify, accredit or verify anything. B Lab assesses and certifies B Corps. The module helps you do the work and gather the evidence.
Not sure which modules you need?
A Cultural Roadmap with a JEDI Gap Analysis shows you, so you start where your gaps are.
The Roadmap shows the gaps. The toolkit closes them and produces your evidence.
